Our History in Boxers
Boxers have been a constant in my life for over 40 years.  They have been wonderful companions, gorgeous show dogs, best friends with emotional healing power, babysitters for my children, the eyes for disabled individuals without sight, and intelligent obedience dogs who quickly learn and retain what has been taught.  Boxers hog the bed, keep you warm on a chilly night, look right through you and into your soul, and love unconditionally---no matter what.  There have been Boxer times of conformation showing; other times were for the two of us showing our combined smarts in the obedience ring; still other times were canoing, camping, and picking kids up for carpools, and baring my soul, only to have my Boxer lick away the salty tears.  Most of all, out Boxers have been our best friends.

Our very first Boxer puppy, "Dixie Belle", in 1959 with my Mom (left picture).  My first Boxer, "Dixie-Belle," was love at first site....and through a pet shop window.  I had spent the summer with my cousins in Richmond, Virginia. The day before my train ride back to Columbus, Ohio, I fell in love with the Dixie.  That was the beginning of my Boxer Love Affair which has persisted over 40 years

My very first Ohio Boxer Club puppy match was over 35 years ago.  I am between two great Boxer breeders of years gone by in the photo, Wilma Rikas on the left (Hillcircle Kennel) and Sandra Juredine on the right (Jhinjheir Kennels).  Jhinjheir's Mahogany Rhena, my brindle puppy, placed 2nd.
